Work With Us

Work with us:

Job Openings:

There are no employment opportunities available at this time, but if you are moved by our mission and would like to be a part of our community, please join our mailing list, apply to our Reading Committee, or attend events!

Partnerships:

Want support in discovering the perfect play for your season, or an ongoing partnership with your organization for a specific reading or production? Getting ETC plays onto stages is an integral aspect of our mission, and we’re here to facilitate the process. We’d love to discuss potential partnerships or consulting for your organization. Please fill out the form below, or reach out via email describing the nature of your ideal partnership at (info@expandthecanon.com).

Artists:

We love growing our community of directors, dramaturgs, and other artists who are passionate about expanding the canon – both in production and curation. If that sounds like you, we invite you to fill out this quick interest form.

If you’re a playwright, sorry! Expand the Canon only features writers who can no longer advocate for themselves  – so unfortunately we’re not accepting pieces by living writers. May you be ineligible for a long time! **unless you’re translating a historic work by a woman/gender expansive writer, or wrote a new play specifically about one of the dead playwrights on our list! **

If you want to get involved, consider joining our Reading Committee!

Board of Directors:

Hedgepig seeks dynamic, diverse, and driven theater lovers to join the Board of Directors as we implement a strategic plan that scales our work for greater impact. We seek volunteers from a variety of professions, perspectives, and skills to help steward Hedgepig into its next stage of growth.

We invite people across the country who are passionate about our mission to join our Board, and especially seek women, people of color, and New York City residents. Additionally, we seek candidates with experience and interest in any of the following: grassroots marketing, fundraising, digital marketing, Google analytics, gala planning, silent auction planning, Corporate Training, Accounting, publishing, and partnership building. You are a great fit if you are passionate about theatre, the classics, gender equity & want to use your skills and network to build resources that will contribute to the growth and impact of our work.

Board members meet monthly (virtual or in-person), attend social events & productions, work to find resources to meet strategic goals, and become an integral part of our artistic family. Approximately 5 hours per month. To see a list of current Board members, please click here. To learn more, fill out the interest form below.

Volunteer:

As a small non-profit, we could sure use a hand now and again. Please let us know if you'd be open to helping with set up for events, or lending your expertise in any other way! Please fill out the form below.
